⚠️ Firebase Integration: Mock Mode Active

The system is currently running in **Mock Mode** using the browser's local storage because default placeholders are still in use in `firebase-config.js`. You can manage and test catalog workflows (Create, Read, Update, Delete) locally in this browser. To go live:

1. Create a project in the Firebase Console.
2. Go to **Project Settings > General** and click the Web platform icon (</>) to register a web app.
3. Enable **Cloud Firestore** and **Firebase Storage** in your console.
4. Enable **Email/Password** authentication in **Authentication > Sign-in method**.
5. Open firebase-config.js in this codebase and paste your credentials config block.
